Hayley's Bio

Hello,
my name is Hayley, an exchange student from Taiwan. I would like to
introduce myself to you so that you can understand me better.
I like to do exercise and play the piano on my free time. I think doing
exercise is very good for health and playing the piano can make me relax. I
was studying Japanese at my school in Taiwan. I enjoy learning Japanese very
much because I think it is really good to learn more different languages.
There are seven people in my family. There are grandparents, parents, older
sister, younger brother and me. My grandparents are around seventy years
old. Both of them are very healthy. Sometimes my grandmother can even walk
faster than me. My father works in the military, who teaches soldiers how to
make chariots. I think this is a very cool job. This reminds me of that he
often told me if anybody bothers me, he will drive a chariot to blow that
person’s house up. Even though I know that he is not really going to do so,
I like the way that he says this to me as it makes me feel that I am the
loved one. My mother is an insurance share broker, who works diligently. She
shows great consideration towards my siblings and me. My mother is a really
good role model for us because she always has positive attitude on whatever
she is doing. My sister is studying in New Zealand. We can share our secrets
and solve the difficulties together. I love her very much as we are closely
bounded together. My brother is a very adorable 12 year-old boy, who is very
energetic. Whenever I am upset, he always tells jokes, which make me forget
all the unhappy things that have happened to me.
I love my family so much because when I need them, they will always be there
for me.
Thanks to the Rotary International Club for giving me such a fantastic
chance to be an exchange student, so that I can make friends with people who
are from different countries with different cultures. Most important of all,
being an exchange student allows me to learn proper English at the school
that I am attending for a year.
I hope my English will pick-up as soon as I can.

I have already been in Florida for three months, I am really having
awesome times while I am here. Everything is getting better now, such as
making more friends at school. I really enjoy my fantastic school life in
America.
I love hanging out with my dear friends in the weekends, for example
shopping, watching movies, etc. with them.
I have bought quite a lot of new clothes here. Last week I watched
“Breaking Dawn” with my friends, which is the best movie that I have ever
seen, even thought I can not understand what the actors were talking about
100% but I still enjoyed it very much as it was my first time watching a
movie with my friends in Florida.
Living here in Florida is such a wonderful experience, everyone is just
so nice to me that they are like my family in Taiwan, who take good care of
me. I think I am already used to staying here with all the people that I
love.
Thank to the Rotary International Club for giving me such a perfect
chance to come to Florida as an exchange student.
